| This paper reports the results of a study designed to determine how consumers "group" various products into categories. Specifically, it was determined that consumers clearly perceive two types of brands: (1) manufacturers' brands, and (2) distributors' brands. While manufacturers' brands were viewed as a distinct offering, consumers did not differentiate between private brands and generics. |

| This paper investigates the pricing efficiency and hedging effectiveness of the Winnipeg barley futures market, using the Chicago corn futures market as a norm. Several tests of pricing efficiency were conducted and the stability of the basis was studied. The barley futures market operates in a heavily regulated economic environment and this is shown to impact on both price behavior and hedging opportunities. |

| Cette étude visera dans un premier temps à rechercher les relations existant entre les paramètres physico-chimiques et les différentes espèces phytoplanctoniques . Puis, nous essayerons d'analyser les successions des différentes populations présentes dans le milieu, afin de mieux comprendre les relations pouvant exister entre elles . A cette fin, nous utiliserons des représentations mathématiques, telles que l'indice de diversité spécifique de Shannon et les diagrammes rangs-fréquences, de façon à évaluer le degré de maturité de l'écosystème et à définir plus précisément la structure et l'évolution des peuplements. |
